Free Open Day Experience with Honey Bees

Saturday 29th July 2017 Lancaster Bee Keeping Club is a local charity holding a Free Open Day at their apiary near Carnforth to let you experience honey bees.

Each of the two 2 hour sessions include a talk about bees and safety and then suiting up to enter the apiary (near Carnforth) and have a look inside one of the Apiary beehives.

Honey bees are fascinating and you'll learn many interesting facts about how honey bee colonies are organised and the lives of the queen bee, worker bees (female) and drones (males).

Advised to book early as suits are limited. See website for booking and contact information.

If you are interested in learning more or keeping bees in urban and rural areas then the Club hold all day experience days and training sessions, talks and events.

If you want to know whether bees are suitable for your location contact the club.
